What's Growin' On?
"What's Growin' On?" is an exciting educational project that helps students discover the ways agriculture impacts their daily lives. The 2018 theme, "California Agriculture on the Move", will teach students how food travels from the farm to their homes. This year’s edition will explore agricultural transportation - the movement of agricultural commodities such as apples, milk, flowers, nuts, cattle, fish, cotton, and lumber to destinations all over the world.
This 16-page supplement, sponsored by the California Foundation for Agriculture in the Classroom, is packed with articles and fun activities that are aligned to California Education Standards, allowing teachers to easily incorporate the newspaper into their classroom. The target is 3rd - 8th grade.
The 2018 supplement was published in The Sacramento Bee on Saturday, March 17, 2018 and in The Fresno Bee on Wednesday, September 26, 2018.
