Let Your Imagination Flow

Plunge into poetry for grades K-8

Kids love to imagine and make up stories, and many can get words to flow naturally. The “Let Your Imagination Flow” supplement teaches children the basics of poetry and gives them an opportunity to show off their talents in our poetry contest. Students compete in four age groups (grades K-2, 3-4, 5-6 and 7-8) for a chance to win a $25 gift card and have their poems published in The Sacramento Bee. Winning entries will be selected from each age group.

“Let Your Imagination Flow” is a great way to celebrate our environment and the importance of properly disposing of Fats, Oils and Grease (FOG). This program is available to all students in Sacramento County.
