2016 Water Spots Winners Announced!

Congratulations to the winners of the 2016 Water Spots Video Contest!

These top videos were selected from among the 35 videos submitted by middle and high school students from around the Sacramento region, which that focused on the theme: BE A DROUGHT CHAMP: Conserve Water.

The top 10 finalist videos were shown on the Jumbotron at Raley Field before the Sacramento River Cat’s game on April 17, 2016 and the winners were announced. Winning students and teachers received cash prizes!

A special thank you to the Regional Water Authority and the judges that included Kathleen Dodge from the Tahoe Film Commission; Monica Woods from ABC10; Rita Schmidt Sudman from the Water Education Foundation; and Brett Salmi from the Roseville Utility Exploration Center. The selections were based on creativity, entertainment value, accuracy, originality and incorporation of the 2016 water efficiency message.
